Here are some white things I collect. With the last name Of McCoy I guess It was inevidable that I would start to collect the pottery that bears my name. I began collecting all colors of McCoy vases and planters, but have narrowed it down to just the creamy white. No surprise there!
My sister Clara has an impressive collection of white matte pottery (some McCoy) and we will probably feature it soon in a White Wednesday. We hope you stop by and visit it! Thank you for sharing your beautiful collection!
Good morning Amy, What a beautiful collection. I especially love your white flower pots...very nice. Thank you so much for sharing and have a wonderful White Wedndesday!
Amy, I have never heard of McCoy pottery...this is lovely! Now that I know about it, I'll be on the look out to add a piece or two, or three or four, to my collection of whites! I'm with you on supporting your local small businesses...most of our antique stores are closing their doors, after many years of building relationships...it's very sad. But for today, have a happy White Wednesday! Mary
I just have a few pieces of white McCoy but I absolutely love it! It is getting hard to find and oh so pricey! Thanks for sharing your wonderful collection! Debra
I have never seen that pottery but it sure is pretty! Thanks for showing us! Im going to look for it now!! I love it! Thanks for the birthday wishes too :) Stephanie
A Grassroots movement to save small businesses, the heart and soul of America!
Last week I found out about a great non-profit organization, the 3/50 Project, from a fellow retailer.I am a small business owner along with my business partner Kris Williamson we opened our antique store nearly 10 years ago in A town that alot of people refer to as "mayberry" Our Mayberry is Sumner Washington 30 minutes south of Seattle.I'm not only a business owner but also a consumer and today more than ever I am reminded that WE cannot take these small towns for granted or they will cease to exist. If you the people (our customers, friends. family, neighbors, myself included make a conscious effort to support your local businesses (please click on to the 3/50 website at the top of the page)you will see that it really doesn't take much to support our community if we ALL just think ahead a tiny bit.For business owners this organization has put together a wonderful flyer that you can distribute to your customers promoting how and why they should (continue to) shop locally. To request one for your store, visit their website www.the350project.net and register as a supporter.
Thank You so much!
XOXO
Amy
