White Wednesday project

We have had this old dutch-door sitting out in storage for about 5 years. I have wanted to do several things with it , but the Man never seemed too interested in my ideas. Now enter the sub freezing temps of our winter weather last week and I come up with a brain storm that could save us lots of money!!! Wooo Husbands love that! The back side of the house which is rarely used was just FREEZING all week so I said hows about we close that room off honey? Oh yeah great idea wifey! He goes out to the shed and comes back in with this cute door, I about fell over!So there you go girls just be practical and Ta-Da get yourself some remodeling done!
please excuse the mess
The hubs even bought me these pretty white roses
My mantle with a few decorations
still need to get the stockings hung

I love the old skates with the fur cuffs

A Grassroots movement to save small businesses, the heart and soul of America!

Last week I found out about a great non-profit organization, the 3/50 Project, from a fellow retailer.I am a small business owner along with my business partner Kris Williamson we opened our antique store nearly 10 years ago in A town that alot of people refer to as "mayberry" Our Mayberry is Sumner Washington 30 minutes south of Seattle.I'm not only a business owner but also a consumer and today more than ever I am reminded that WE cannot take these small towns for granted or they will cease to exist. If you the people (our customers, friends. family, neighbors, myself included make a conscious effort to support your local businesses (please click on to the 3/50 website at the top of the page)you will see that it really doesn't take much to support our community if we ALL just think ahead a tiny bit.For business owners this organization has put together a wonderful flyer that you can distribute to your customers promoting how and why they should (continue to) shop locally. To request one for your store, visit their website www.the350project.net and register as a supporter. Thank You so much! XOXO Amy
