Barn Lusting

I was out scouting the countryside again for some fun junk, and it was such a beautiful sunny day (very rare in these parts at this time of the year) instead of treasures to fill my truck I slowed down and started admiring these forgotten treasures. The awesome hand built barns of yesteryear. Truly when I stopped and marvelled at these magestic beauties, I just could'nt imagine how a hundred or so years ago something so grand could be built by ordinary family's and without the high tech equiptment like we take for granted today. How or who put that roof on and built those walls so high in the sky? Someday my wish is to have one of these national treasures and fill it with farm animals , fun junk and old cars. I can smell the hay already!

Happy Anniversary Baby!

February 14th 22 years ago I thought was the happiest day of my life when I married the love of my life "The Real McCoy".Well it was only the beginning of many happy days to come. Two beautiful children later, 3dogs, 6cats, 2 rabbits numerous fish a rat, 12 volkswagens 4 houses , a lake cabin ,a mountain house, motorcycles, boats a couple different motorhomes and an 8' teardrop travel trailer, oh and I forgot the camper that had dryrot and the bottom of the cabover part fell out when we were camping out in my parents yard."That old saying "if the campers rockin don't bother knockin" really looked like it fit us, but really it was just dryrot I swear! Oh ya and all of the remodels, too many to list not including the little house he's building right now. It's been a crazy living on the edge at times wild ride, but we've had a blast and hope to be lucky enough to have many more!

I love you honey!

Nope no Hope

My Roxy girl and old yeller in the background.

Just thought I'd do a quick post about nothing in particular. I won't even talk about hope! Not that it's a bad thing , but I just realized my last couple post were so serious and about hope each time. It must have been all the presidential frenzy! Although I will say it, hope has worked for me. Ok I,m talking about it again. well I've been sooo busy I almost forgot I have this little blogspot. I"m always so worried about keeping the stores blog updated I don"t get over to this one as often.I did the Puyallup Antique show last weekend and today is my first day off in 8days.When the going gets tough the tough get going and I forgot how tough I really am.The work was hard but so rewarding. I have to work I always have it makes me feel good about myself and i don't think I am the type that can sit back and wait for the other shoe to drop, I need to be a step ahead all the time just incase you never know whats coming or whats not (like a paycheck). The show was a success and I will be doing another one at the fairgrounds on feb14th and 15th along with my buds Sharon, Jerry and Kris. Back to work tomorrow ,the store is packed with great finds come by and see!

Good night

Amy
